The first time I tried Spun Honey, viagra generic purchase I was shocked I hadn’t been eating it my whole life. I hadn’t even heard of it! It was SO good – creamy, caramel-y, buttery. I wanted to eat it everyday of my life. Then I saw the recipe and my heart broke. Just a warning: there is nothing healthy about this recipe – it only exists for cases of extreme pleasure. That is why I only make it once a year and give half the batch away as gifts. BUT it’s sorta perfect for fall weather. I find that my honey always crystallizes when the weather gets a little colder. It makes me sad…then happy because I remember that crystalized honey can be made into spun honey!
1 c. Sugar
1 c. Honey
1/2 c. Whipping Cream
1 3/4 c. Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1. Mix sugar, honey and cream together and heat until boiling.
2. Stir continually and boil for 1 minute.
3. Remove from heat and add cinnamon. Stir til blended.
4. Add butter and mix with electric mixer.
5. Add vanilla and beat until smooth.
6. Store in refrigerator.
The spun honey will be quite runny after mixing with the butter. It will become more creamy after being refrigerated. It makes great gifts, too! And it’s a lot faster and easier than canning.
Just that easy!! So creamy…so delicious…I’m gonna enjoy this…
Yum, yum, yum! Sorry about the weird 1980s style photos…I made this recipe at night, after I put the kid to bed, and had no natural lighting. So the photos seem like a bit of a throw back. I hope it doesn’t deter you from this heavenly spread. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to make some scones, chai tea and stuff my face.
Peace and Love,
