It is becoming my favourite time of year; summer! It was so dang hot and beautiful this weekend in Vancouver that my husband and I decided to hit the road and head up the sea-to-sky on a little one day adventure. If you’ve never had the chance to drive along the sea-to-sky highway, cialis generic cialis you’re missing out! It is so gorgeous. Ocean and mountain views all at once. We stopped at a few places along the way and took some photos as you can tell…it was just too good not to snap a pic or two…or three (thousand).
Conrad is a high-sock kinda guy. But it’s really the sweetest style on him. Insert every heart eye emoji here.
The first stop we made, check after our very important stop to get coffee and donuts (obvs), pharm was Porteau Cove. It’s a hot spot for divers and there’s a camp ground close by as well – we’re thinking of booking this beautiful spot next year. How fun would that be!
Then we headed down the highway for a while longer and came across an adorable little lake called Murrin Lake. We dipped our toes in the water for a bit and I got a real good sunburn. Woops. One thing about this lake though…it’s right on the highway, and it was pretty loud. So after we cooled off for a bit we jumped in our car and kept on driving cuz loud motorcycles roaring by aren’t super relaxing.
We headed into the town of Squamish and sat in a park for a bit, ate some food and enjoyed the view of the famous Stawamus Chief (mountain). She’s a beauty. I’ve yet to hike the Chief (as they say) but I would love to check that off my list this summer. Hint hint anyone who wants to hike with me ;)
On our way back to Vancouver we found this stunning view along the highway. A bench which was dedicated to a girl who had passed away in the area was set up facing the ocean. We were able to relax there for a while and further our sunburns :( as well as take in the glorious setting.
After we tested our limits in the heat, we headed home and enjoyed the evening on the beach! It was such a lovely day, full of adventure – and what made it even better was the fact that we were able to sleep in our own bed at the end of it all. Vancouver is amazing in the summer and I can’t wait for more adventures like this!
I hope your weekend was full of good too!
