I bought this adorable purse at H&M in cialis sale purchase neat art” href=”http://ohlovelybows.com/beijing-art-district/” target=”_blank”>Beijing when we were there a while ago. I love it. But with everything else I buy, viagra I always think about a way I could make it even cuter and more my style. Doesn’t everyone do that? No? Well, you should, it’s fun. So I decided that the best way to spruce it up, is by adding some fabric.

What you’ll need is a purse that could use an update,Β Β fabricΒ glue, and some pretty fabric. I bought my fabric at Dressew which is an amazing fabric and craft supply store in Vancouver. If you’re ever in the area you should check it out!

Once you have all of your supplies, you simply measure the fabric to fit the parts of the purse you want to glue it to. I wanted to put a piece on the back of my purse as well as line the inside of the purse. Make sure you measure it about an inch wider all the way around so you can fold over the edges and glue them to the back of the fabric to have clean lines. See the photos above for some clarity.

I did the back piece first. Cut, glue, wait. And voila – spruced up!

The inside of the purse was a bit harder as the purse I used is pretty stiff. If you have the option, working with a purse that you can flip inside out would be a much easier task. But even though it was harder to fit the fabric inside and see exactly what I was doing it worked out in the end.

I didn’t cut the top of the fabric as you can see above, until I had glued it all in and made sure it fit. So when I measured the fabric initially, I made sure to leave excess fabric so that I had plenty of fabric to work with. Better safe than sorry.

Finally I trimmed the top and made it curve with the purse. I had the intention of cutting scallops for the top BUT I forgot until way after I cut and glued the final touches. Oh well. Guess I’ll have to buy another purse and do it again. Too bad! Make sure to follow the instructions of the fabric glue – it usually needs to cure for 24 hours or so.

Once it’s all done and cured – put your favourite items inside and take yourself out on a date. And every time you go to pay for something, or grab your lip balm you will be reminded of how cute you are for making something already adorable way sweeter.

Yay for you!
