Oh wow, discount viagra doctor I feel so lucky to live in this beautiful country. Canada is a real gem. I especially love our summers – not that I’m a cold hater! I have a special place in my heart for icy Canadian winters. But those summer road trips, troche though – your just can’t beat them. Last weekend, cialis Pete, Felix and I took a mini road trip to Vancouver Island and it was bliss. We’re talking a different beach and lake erry day! And although it was only 3 days, it was so relaxing I felt like I had a weeks vacation. Island life must slow down time, I guess. So chill.
Our first stop was a small lake in Victoria called Thetis Lake. I could see myself living in Victoria, if that ferry wasn’t so dang expensive! But I’m a sucker for any city that has a clean and warm watering hole. And Thetis Lake is one of the best!
The next morning we went to Beacon Hill Park right in the middle of Victoria. I’ve never been there before, as I usually like hang out downtown Victoria when I visit. Having a toddler really forced us to expand our horizons and do family friendly activities. Beacon Hill Park was great! It was fun for the whole family, complete with a petting zoo and splash park. The highlight for me, though, was the nesting Blue Herons. I’ve never seen so many in my life! They nested in the tall cedars, making a loud ruckus – those massive birds seem so prehistoric. I felt like I was in Jurassic Park.
Pete snapped some pictures of me in my favourite necklace, below. My sister got it for me for my birthday – she’s the best at presents.
We, of course, hit up a couple more beaches along the way, but a favourite spot to stop was Chemainus. It’s a small tourist town, known for it’s murals. It has lots of antique stores, bakeries and ice cream. My kind of town!
Oh, and not to mention, photos ops…I found a bench. Oh dear.
There you have it! Pete and I were so thankful for this beautiful weekend. We love our country and exploring. Where do you like to go when you’re on Vancouver Island? Any spots I should check out next time?
Hope you had a great Canada Day – we live in such a great country, guys! Yay Canada!
Peace and Love,
